In an effort to help provide a more festive spring atmosphere (instead of the conventional institutional stainless steel service), the Rio Grande City C.I.S.D. Food Service Dept. held its First Annual Spring Decorating Contest. All district cafeterias were encouraged to decorate their serving line with a spring motif. The categories judged were: creativity, originality, spontaneity, and ambiance. General Ricardo Sanchez Elementary would like to thank their Pre-Kinder teachers for all their creative ideas, their time, and their efforts. Not only did they decorate the entire serving center and the surrounding areas, but also implemented their students’ work and added a Hawaiian Twist.
