Campus police closed off La Grulla's new high school on Wed. Sept. 15, when a suspected drug smuggler, being pursued by Authorities, abandoned his vehicle and approached the school's outer perimeter. The suspect never made it on to school grounds and RGCCISD officially reported that no student was placed in any danger. The school later re-opened on the same day.
