RGCCISD Press Release
Rio Grande City CISD Librarians receive training on making the most out of the Accelerated Reader Program. As part of the Professional Development Action Plan, a six hour seminar entitled " Renaissance Place" was scheduled recently for district librarians. They were able to attain techniques to impact their students through this successful reading program. The students are encouraged to work as a team and to cheer for each other as they advance in their reading skills. Reports can be generated to access the progress in order to better assist students. The seminar also suggests ideas on how to make libraries more welcoming to students and how placement of furniture and books can be conducive to learning through reading. Mrs. Adelina Villarreal and her staff are very diligent in securing staff development that promotes growth and knowledge for all students.
