The child care conference committee met on June 16th to plan their annual conference reported Yolanda Morado, Extension Agent with Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
Child care providers nurture and care for our children our future. These workers play a vital role in children’s development by caring for them and attending their needs. They help children explore individual interest, develop talents and independence, build self esteem, and learn how to get along with each other.
The conference is being conducted by the collaborative effort of Texas AgriLife Extension, TMC-Teaching Mentoring Communities Headstart, People First, Hill Country Child Care Providers Association and South Texas College.
The conference helps child care providers organize activities, and implement curricula that stimulate children’s physical, emotional intellectual and social growth.
Participants also are able to receive valuable clock hours that are necessary to maintain their license that is required for licensed facilities and registered homes by the Texas Regulatory Agency.
For more information about the conference please call the Starr County Extension office at 956-487-2306.
