Google Earth, Google's mapping software, has created a tool that measures the current size of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and allows you to compare it to the size of your hometown. (
You can compare it to your own city by clicking here.) The above image shows the size of the oil spill, about 25000 square miles, as of May 13, 2010.
